GeometricPLM has unveiled CAMWorks 2018 SP5.0 build 2018/1126 (26-November-2018). Last release has exciting new features in it's fully integrated CAM Software including Tolerance Based Machining, Chuck and Fixture Definition, and more..

CW-84571 The user has added three machines to his/her customized TechDB. When the units selected within TechDB App is 'Inch', the parameters associated with one the three custom machines named 'Zimmerman' cannot be edited.
CW-84553 In CAMWorks Virtual Machine, the Work origin is not set correctly when the Offset is defined using the parameter variables in the NC code.
CW-84547 After CAMWorks is launched as an Add-in with in SOLIDWORKS,display issues are observed in the Turn mode when both toolpath and chuck are displayed in the graphics area. Such a lag in display is observed whena specific graphics card (RADEON 530) is used by the system.
CW-84364 Whenever the"Generate Operation Plan" command is executed for the Center Drill operation of a Counterbore holeand the "Update"option is selected, it is observed that the Machining Depth value is half of the previous depth value.
CW-84281 When Virtual GPU graphics card is used, errors are observed in simulation and CAMWorks crashes.
CW-84280 The post variable "IS_PATTERN_FEATURE" is required in macro call.
CW-84250 In TechDB, when a contour mill operation is inserted for slot or corner slot features then, the option of "Ignore air segments offset" remains disabled.
CW-84209 The value defined for "OPR_TYPE" in post operation located after a multi axis mill operation with number of axis set to zero changes when post processing is done.
CW-84182 If the tool comment is more than 100 characters then, a SOLDIWORKS crash is seen in the toolpath is post processed.
CW-84148 When a hole group feature is copied from one setup to another setup with the option of "Also copy operations" set to true then, the newly created feature node is displayed as if the operations are not copied and associated to the newly created feature group.
CW-83942 In TechDB App, for Face Mill operations the values set for the check boxes of "Automatic Angle" and "Zigzag" are not retained when the user saves the operation parameters.
CW-83784 Issue observed in Tooling>>Mill Tooling>>Tool Assemblies menu of MS Access based TechDB. When the tool type is selected as "Tap tooling". An error message "Access database engine cannot input table or query" is observed.
CW-83774 For the specific Mill-Turn part, when 3axis toolpath is posted using MT2axis-tutorial post then, incorrect X values are observed in the posted output.
CW-83741 In CAMWorks Virtual Machine, while simulating drill cycles using new controller series 828D, errors related to macro variables are observed.
CW-83465 In TechDB app, the feeds and speed values for a drill operation in Turn mode are set to metric units even though the global unit is set to inch mode.
CW-83444 In CAMWorks Virtual Machine, the H value given for tool offsets causes C axis movement incrementally.
CW-83356 In CAMWorks 2018, when the values retrieved from the Material library are modified using TechDB App, the updated data is not saved into the Material library database.
CW-82982 When Save Operation Plan is done on a MS Hole feature then, duplicate instances of the user defined tools assigned in the operations for the same MS Hole feature are created in TechDB.
CW-82545 Operation If the option for Feed/ Speed definition is to "Library" in the TechDB, then; when a specific Part field is opened in CAMWorks 2018/2019 and the "Edit Definition" command is executed for a Contour Mill operation listed in the Operation tree, the time taken to display the Operation Parameters dialog box is more compared to the time taken by CAMWorks 2015 version.
CW-79235 For the specific Mill Part, after the definition of contour mill toolpath is edited and step through toolpath is performed, it is observed that the tool still gouges the part.
CW-79185 For the specific part, when Generate Toolpath command is executed on constant stepover operation with convert to 5 axis then, SOLIDWORKS crashes.
