Schlumberger PIPESIM 2017.2 | 1.3 Gb
Schlumberger, has released PIPESIM 2017.2. This simulator is used to model well performance, conduct nodal analysis, design artificial lift systems, model pipeline networks and facilities, and develop field production plans.
PIPESIM 2017.2 - Product details:
- Model multiphase flow more accurately with OLGAS HD
The new 2017.2 OLGAS steady-state flow model includes the high-definition (HD) model, which delivers a step change in the fidelity of multiphase flow modeling and is a result of more than 10 years of industry-sponsored research. The HD model accounts for the variation of flow velocity with respect to the pipe cross section and more accurately calculates liquid holdup and pressure loss for horizontal and near-horizontal stratified flow.
- Run forecasts with IAM software
PIPESIM 2017.2 is supported by IAM 2017. IAM field development planning and operations software dynamically integrates the PIPESIM steady-state multiphase flow simulator with reservoir models of all resolutions, including those built using the ECLIPSE industry-reference reservoir simulator, INTERSECT high-resolution reservoir simulator, and MBX material balance model and decline curves. On the downstream side, PIPESIM 2017.2 can be connected to process simulators including HYSYS, Petro-SIM, and UniSim. This high level of integration enables you to forecast through the life of the field-optimizing the design and economics of the complete production system. With this release, IAM software receives a major usability update. In addition to simplifying the user experience, IAM software and PIPESIM simulator now share a similar look and feel.
- Model PCPs and rod pumps more effectively
A slip factor has been introduced to adjust PCP performance to better match field conditions. Use of the slip factor is generally preferable to adjustments in the head and rate factors. Rod pumps can now be defined by specifying stroke length, plunger size, and frequency as an alternative to nominal rate. These properties are useful sensitivity variables in operations such as nodal analysis to analyze well performance.
- Simulate OneSubsea wet gas compressor performance
You may now model OneSubsea wet gas compressors for boosting the pressure of multiphase flow characterized by high gas volume fractions. OneSubsea compressors are typically used to increase recovery rates and cost-effectively increase tieback distances in subsea gas fields. Six OneSubsea compressor models are available. Coolers may be defined upstream or downstream of the compressor and be arranged in parallel or series. Detailed results, including performance plots generated based on flow conditions, are reported.
- Automate nodal analysis
The Python toolkit, first released with PIPESIM 2017.1, has been extended for use with the nodal analysis task. Using Python, you may now batch run multiple nodal analyses across many wells in your PIPESIM simulator model.
- Improve automation of GIS network creation
A new preprocessing utility performs several corrections to shapefiles used to automatically create PIPESIM simulator network models. These corrections include the merging of redundant flowlines and removal of unnecessary nodes, resulting in significant performance improvements.
About Schlumberger PIPESIM. The PIPESIM steady-state multiphase flow simulator enables the design and diagnostics of oil and gas production systems-from reservoir to processing facility. The PIPESIM simulator leverages a variety of fluid property correlations, multiphase flow correlations, and inflow performance relationships to generate an accurate description of your production systems.
